Silverwell presented paper SPE-184221-MS at the SPE Middle East Artificial Lift Conference and Exhibition held in Manama, Bahrain, 30 November – 1 December 2016.
The paper describes the evolution of gas lift systems over the past few decades, making parallels with other artificial lift technologies (ESP, SRP, and PCP) and how they have evolved.
The paper then focusses on new smart gas lift technology outlining its main characteristics and comparing it to existing technologies.
